Posture App Review

If you’re looking to improve your posture and could do with a little help, read my posture app review.

I came across a great little android app last week.

It’s really easy to use – just install and let it do it’s thing. You can pause or resume it as you like, and the version I have on my phone is free, hooray!

Posture – be mindful everyday

This phone app works by regularly (you can set the interval) checking how you’re holding your phone. So long as you’re bringing the phone up to eye level, you’re good to go. If you start slumping and pulling your head down towards your phone, you’ll be notified by the app. It’s that simple, that’s all there is to it!

You’ll know by now that one of the things that really bugs me is when we make the phone our boss. Be the “boss of you” by bringing the phone up to your ear instead of your ear down to the phone – it is a *mobile* phone after all! Check right now by pretending to take a call. Do you tilt your head sideways, or is your head up straight, so you’ve brought the phone to you? That’s it, you got it!

So this app is a quick win if you often find yourself slumping your head down towards your phone, which could give you text neck, or leave you unaware of your environment.

As bonus extras you can change:

  • The colour, style and location of the notification
  • Vibration on or off
  • Notifications on or off
  • Record stats on or off
  • And how strict the app is on you

It’s a no-brainer in my book, so long as your phone can run it you should go and get it.

Bye for now,

James.
